Job description

For our client, a Pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a Financial Analyst based in Haarlem.

The business analyst is part of the finance team which is dedicated to Operations. The analyst is responsible to comply with all managerial reporting requests (local & global) and to analyse the results. The Business analyst will report any variances, trends or efficiency opportunities to the various stakeholders and as such act as a sparring partner. Next to meeting the reporting deadlines, the business analyst will enhance the level and process of managerial reporting to all stakeholders by converting data into management information.


  • Preparation of Monthly reports and other presentations
  • Monthly variance analysis on costs, expenses, production, capex, headcount, volumes, allocations and , review/discuss with budget owners; follow up on action items
  • Uploads in Hyperion for budget, actuals and forecast
  • Liaise with FSSC on correct and timely registration of all bookings for Operations
  • Analysis on results for management and legal entity purposes
  • Continuous improvement of reporting pack and the reporting process
  • Financial reporting to various levels of management
  • Month end activities geared towards timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist in Preparation of Forecast and Budget
  • Advise on utilising the systems landscape
  • Contacts with: budget holders, finance, FSSC, Operations


  • 3+ years of relevant working experience in a finance function in a matrix organisation with complex . reporting practices.
  • Accounting knowledge: able to understand journals and booking entries
  • Experience Cognos, Oracle systems
  • HFM/Hyperion/Essbase knowledge - must
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Dutch and English: spoken and written
  • Degree in Finance /Business related subjects
